MENTAL WELLNESS & BRAIN HEALTH
Your mental wellness affects how you feel, think, focus, sleep, make decisions, build habits, and move through everyday life.
And sometimes, feeling better requires looking beyond traditional approaches alone.
At Prairie Village Dentists, EXOMIND® gives us a non-invasive way to support brain and mental wellness using advanced transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
EXOMIND® uses patented ExoTMS® technology to stimulate targeted areas of the brain involved in mood, emotional regulation, cognitive function, and self-control.
EXOMIND® is FDA-cleared for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)† and does not require medication, needles, anesthesia, or downtime.
Beyond its FDA-cleared indication, we can also discuss broader mental wellness, cognitive, and behavioral goals during your consultation and determine whether EXOMIND® may have an appropriate role in your individualized wellness plan.

Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation for Mental Wellness, Mood & Cognitive Health

What Is EXOMIND®?
EXOMIND® is a non-invasive brain stimulation treatment powered by patented ExoTMS® technology.
ExoTMS® uses targeted magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain and activate neural pathways involved in functions such as mood, cognitive function, emotional regulation, and self-control.
Treatment is performed comfortably in our office without:
-
Medication Administration
-
Needles
-
Injections
-
Surgery
-
Anesthesia
-
Downtime
After treatment, patients can typically return to their normal daily activities.

What is TMS?
TMS stands for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation.
It's a non-invasive form of neuromodulation that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate targeted areas of the brain.
Unlike medication, TMS does not work by introducing a substance into the body. There are no needles or injections, and treatment does not require anesthesia or surgery.
EXOMIND® uses its patented ExoTMS® technology to deliver this targeted magnetic stimulation comfortably in-office.

Why EXOMIND® at a Dental Office?
Because your mental wellness, behaviors, and oral health don't exist separately from one another.
We see those connections every day.
Dental Anxiety
For some people, fear or anxiety surrounding dental treatment becomes a barrier to receiving the preventive and restorative care they need.
Our goal is not only to care for your teeth but to help create an environment and approach that makes receiving that care more manageable.
Smoking & Periodontal Health
Smoking and tobacco use are significant modifiable risk factors for periodontal disease and can negatively affect gum health and healing.
Supporting patients who are working toward healthier behaviors can therefore have implications for both overall health and long-term oral health.
Eating Behaviors & Cavity Risk
How frequently your teeth are exposed to sugars and fermentable carbohydrates matters.
Frequent snacking and certain eating patterns can increase the number of acid exposures your teeth experience throughout the day, potentially increasing cavity risk.
Stress, Clenching & Grinding
Stress and anxiety may contribute to clenching, grinding, and jaw muscle tension for some patients.
When those concerns overlap, we can look at the bigger picture rather than treating the mouth as though it exists separately from mental wellness.
Our goal is whole-person care—understanding the factors that may influence your health, behaviors, comfort, and ability to care for yourself.
FDA-Cleared for Major Depressive Disorder
EXOMIND® is FDA-cleared for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)†.
For patients exploring treatment for depression, a consultation allows us to review your health history, current care, treatment goals, and potential contraindications to determine whether EXOMIND® may be appropriate.
EXOMIND® does not require patients to stop their existing medications or mental healthcare. Patients should never discontinue or change a prescribed medication without consulting the healthcare professional managing that medication.

Mental Wellness Is About More Than One Diagnosis
Mental wellness can influence far more than mood alone.
It can affect how clearly we think, how well we focus, how we respond to stress, how easily we regulate our emotions, and how successfully we change behaviors and habits.
Because EXOMIND® stimulates areas of the brain involved in mood, cognitive function, emotional regulation, and self-control, patients may also be interested in discussing goals related to:
-
Mental Clarity & Focus
-
Emotional Regulation
-
Stress Management
-
Behavioral & Habit Change
-
Impulse Control
-
Dental Anxiety
-
Smoking & Tobacco Cessation Support
-
Eating Behaviors
-
Overall Mental & Cognitive Wellness
EXOMIND® is FDA-cleared for Major Depressive Disorder. Other wellness applications should be discussed individually with your provider to determine whether EXOMIND® may be appropriate for your goals.
