Our Financial Process

At Prairie Village Dentists, we are committed to providing you with exceptional dental care and a smooth, transparent billing experience.

To help ensure clarity and efficiency for all our patients, we have updated our financial process as outlined below:

INSURANCE & PAYMENT

We are happy to work with your dental insurance provider to help you maximize your benefits. As a courtesy, our team will file claims on your behalf and provide an estimated patient portion at the time of service. This estimate is based on your individual insurance plan and is calculated using our dental software.

Effective immediately, we require payment of your estimated portion at the time of service.
This helps minimize confusion and billing delays, and is in line with standard dental practice procedures.

WHAT IF INSURANCE PAYS DIFFERENTLY?

Please note that your insurance policy is an agreement between you and your insurance carrier. While we make every effort to provide accurate estimates, insurance companies may process claims differently than expected. If your insurance pays more than estimated, you will receive a refund.

If it pays less, you may receive a statement for the remaining balance.

Checks or cash (in-office only)
Installment loans through Sunbit
Payment plans through CareCredit

ACCOUNT RESPONSIBILITY

Payments returned due to non-sufficient funds will be subject to a $50.00 NSF fee.

In the event that an account becomes delinquent and is referred for collections, the patient agrees to reimburse Grant R. Smith DDS PA for reasonable costs incurred in the collection process, including attorney’s fees, to the extent permitted by the laws of the State of Kansas.
